Background

Federal Flags had ambitions to grow rapidly, but were hamstrung by an inability to hit the ROAS required to scale. They were spending across paid search & paid social, but lacked a clear strategy per platform.

Our Method

We started by going back to basics by ensuring that we minimised wasted spend across the 3 channels, with all inefficient activity stripped back.

We then identified structure as the key to success. What we found was a very random campaign structure, with too many campaigns and no clear divisions between them. We restructured to focus on two things

  1. Empowering the algorithms to work to the best of their ability
  2. Splitting campaigns by customer type given the varied products ($50 flags to $10K flagpoles) to ensure we were able to prioritise potential high value customers
